Adalberto Mondesi (oblique) showing progress but still has no timetable

Adalberto Mondesi (SS - FA)

Kansas City Royals shortstop Adalberto Mondesi, who's on the IL with an oblique strain, has resumed movements and activities, per manager Mike Matheny. He "seems to be going along good...He's starting to do some more movements. That's a step in the right direction," Matheny told reporters on Thursday. (Alec Lewis on Twitter)

Even there's still no timetable for Mondesi's return to action this is a step in the right direction. He had yet to resume baseball activities as early as Monday so he seems to be progressing. The team is exercising patience with their young shortstop and they won't rush him back. The Royals should provide another update over the weekend.
