Corbin Martin pounded for six earned runs in loss to the Giants

by Jon Mathisen | Diamondbacks Correspondent | Wed, May 26th 2:14am EDT

RHP Corbin Martin took the loss on Tuesday when he allowed six runs on five hits with three walks and two strikeouts over four innings in an 8-0 loss to the Giants.

Fantasy Impact:

Things started off poorly for Martin, who allowed a bases-clearing double to Brandon Crawford in the opening frame. He then surrendered a three-run bomb to Evan Longoria in the third inning that put San Francisco up 6-0. That was more than enough to saddle him with the loss as the Diamondbacks didn't score a single run. Arizona has now lost nine games in a row. Martin owns a 9.00 ERA and 1.78 WHIP over nine innings (two starts). He'll try and get on track in his next turn against the Cardinals this weekend.
