Brandon Morrow continues to impress and gets the win vs Dodgers

Brandon Morrow (RP - FA)

Brandon Morrow throws seven strong innings while allowing just one run on five hits in the Padres 3-1 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers. Morrow continues to impress in the back end of the rotation. "I feel like I've been throwing the ball really well," Morrow said. "To give the team a chance to win and log innings, that's what we're out there to do." "I'm healthy now, so it feels good to go out there and pitch good ballgames," Morrow said. Padres manager Bud Black knowing his bullpen needed a rest, praised Morrow on his outing. "Our bullpen had been stretched the last four or five days, and today's outing was critical," Padres manager Bud Black said. "That was huge today what Brandon did for us."

Fantasy Impact
Morrow's ERA drops some more, to 2.62. Four strikeouts may not be a dominant performance but allowing just one run on five hits does qualify as such. Morrow at the back end is a solid bet. Keep him active as long as he stays healthy for he will only get better as the months move on.
