Anthony Rendon injures triceps, exits game early

Angels prized third baseman Anthony Rendon exited Monday's game early after suffering an apparent injury while making a diving play. Specifically, manager Joe Maddon said Rendon "felt something in his triceps on the dive." (Mike DiGiovanna on Twitter)

The severity of the injury remains unknown, and we might not know more until the Angels release their next lineup on Tuesday evening. Through 45 games this year, Rendon has posted a career-low .241/.314/.365 slash line. He also has four homers, 30 RBI, 18 walks, and 29 RBI to this point.
