Kris Bryant exited the game in the first inning, and while he managed to to stay in to field for half an inning, he was later removed and diagnosed with a right hand contusion. (Taylor McGregor on Twitter)

Bryant was enjoying a bounce back season following the shortened 2020 season, hitting .292 with 13 home runs and 39 RBIs. INF Patrick Wisdom, who has had success this season, took Bryant's place at third on Tuesday. If Bryant's injury is deemed serious, expect the Cubs to be patient with him as they let Wisdom get extra looks.
