Adam Wainwright was terrific on Thursday night, scattering six hits, two earned runs, and a walk across eight strong innings in a no-decision against the Rockies. He added four strikeouts as well.

A two-run homer by Brendan Rodgers was the only damage against the veteran right-hander who exited the game with the score tied 2-2 after eight innings before the Rockies would go on to win with a walk-off homer in the bottom of the ninth inning. The 39-year-old curveball-specialist has re-emerged as a viable mixed-league fantasy option this season and will take an impressive 3.49 ERA into a start against the Giants in San Francisco next week.
