Luis Castillo did not factor into the decision in Saturday's loss to the Brewers. He fired six scoreless innings while allowing five hits, walking three, and striking out eight.

Castillo turned in his sixth quality start in his last seven outings and also tied his best strikeout total since May 18. A lack of run support prevented Castillo from getting the win, but he's been a totally different player since June 1, spinning a 1.76 ERA with 56 strikeouts in his last 56.1 innings (nine starts). He'll take on the Cubs next week.
