Kwang Hyun Kim gives up five runs (four homers) in loss to Cleveland

Kwang Hyun Kim (SP,RP - FA)

Kwang Hyun Kim served up four home runs in just 2 2/3 innings in a 7-2 loss to Cleveland on Wednesday. Overall, Kim allowed five hits, five earned runs, and a walk while failing to record a strikeout.

Fantasy Impact
The outing was both the shortest of the season for the left-hander and also the first time he's failed to record a strikeout this year. Kim gave up a solo home run to Franmil Reyes in the second inning before serving up homers to Cesar Hernandez, Jose Ramirez, and Franmil Reyes (again) in the third inning. Kim entered the day having won five consecutive starts (with four straight quality starts), so this stinker really was an unexpected performance for the 33-year-old southpaw. Kim is now 6-6 with a 3.31 ERA and 1.21 WHIP in 2021. He'll face the Braves at home next week.
