The Reds will be eyeing Cozart's fingers over the next couple days to see how it is progressing after he caught a bad bounce trying to field the ball open handed. The bounce put a significant bruise on the tip of his middle finger on his throwing hand. Before that, he was 0-for-1 at the plate in his series finale against Atlanta.
Fantasy Impact
The hand is no worry to me for Cozart. It shouldn't keep him out long, and has no impact on his future plate performance. He's batting well this season, batting .304, including five homeruns and 12 RBI.
