RHP Luke Weaver took the loss on Wednesday when he allowed three runs on four hits with two walks and four strikeouts over five innings as the Diamondbacks lost to the Rangers 8-5.

Weaver was looking good through the first three innings of the ball game as he held the Rangers off the scoreboard and the D-Backs had a slim 2-0 lead. He started to fall apart in the fourth, however, surrendering all three of his runs in the frame. Arizona wasn't able to reclaim the lead so the Weaver took his fourth loss of the season. The 28-year-old hurler now owns a 4.24 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, and 45:15 K/BB ratio over 51 innings (10 starts). He'll take on the Dodgers on the road in his next turn.
