Tyler Rogers records the save on Tuesday

by Jon Mathisen | Giants Correspondent | Wed, Sep 22nd 11:58am EDT

RHP Tyler Rogers earned the save on Tuesday when he allowed one hit with a strikeout over a scoreless ninth inning in the Giants' 6-5 win over the Padres.

Fantasy Impact:

Rogers was sent in to protect a narrow one-run lead while facing the heart of the Padres lineup, which is no easy task. Wil Myers reached on a fielding error by Brandon Crawford before Rogers punched out Fernando Tatis Jr. Jake Cronenworth then reached with a single but the submariner was able to get Manny Machado to ground into a double play to end the ball game. The 30-year-old now has 13 saves on the season to go along with a 1.95 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, and 50:10 K/BB ratio over 74 innings.
