The Cubs have plenty of holes to fill in their lineup, and Suzuki could fit both their short and long-term needs. At age 27, he is a rare talent to come to MLB from Japan. Last season in NPB, he hit 38 home runs and slashed .317/.433/.639 in 528 plate appearances. Suzuki has plenty of teams after him, so it will be a fun process to watch shake out.
