Tyler Duffey blows save chance Saturday afternoon

by Nate Miller | Royals Correspondent | Sat, Apr 9th 6:13pm EDT

Tyler Duffey recorded a blown save Saturday after giving up two runs on three hits while striking out one in 1.0 inning.

Fantasy Impact:

After dealing presumed closer Taylor Rogers away earlier this week, it has been a guessing game as to which Twins reliever would receive the first save chance of the season. That question was answered Saturday afternoon, as Duffey took the mound in the ninth to try to preserve a one-run lead. The veteran righty, who has been quite good for the Twins the past few years, would instead find himself taking the loss due to a couple of two-out, run-scoring hits from Adam Frazier and Ty France. Duffey is likely still in the closer mix for the Twins given his experience and track record, but this situation figures to remain in flux for a while.
