During the 6-2 victory the San Diego Padres achieved Friday, Alonso continued to contribute. He went 1-for-3 along with a first inning walk that drove in the first run of the game.
Fantasy Impact
Since coming back from the DL, Alonso has certainly helped both his real life team and his fantasy owners. In the three games since the return, he has gone 5-for-10 with three runs scored and two RBI. I am still not sold on him in shallow leagues but he is worth monitoring, in case he is finally living up to his potential.
