Lowe swung the bat without hitting a ball and apparently asked to hit flips from a coach, which was denied. The Rays are being very careful with their second baseman as he is a key contributor for the team. Last season he hit a career-best 39 home runs, driving in 99 RBI but has struggled so far this season hitting .212 with five home runs and 12 RBI over 32 games. Fantasy managers can hope he comes back fully recovered and ready to swing, but at this time there is no timetable for his return.
