Maeda threw his 10th bullpen session, tossing 30 fastball pitches, his highest total since he began his rehabilitation from an elbow injury. Maeda underwent a modified Tommy John surgery in September 2021 and had an initial timeline of 9-12 months of recovery with the hope that he can return before the end of the 2022 season but there is currently no solid timeline.
