Harper has been out since June 25 after having surgery on his fractured left thumb. Harper opted not to have follow up surgery late last month: Harper is slashing .318/.385/.599 with 15 home runs and 48 RBI in 64 games prior to the injury. Harper is expected to return before the end of the year, possibly as early as later in August.
