Austin Meadows began a new rehab assignment with Triple-A Toledo on August 10th. He is going to alternate between the outfield and DH for seven to 10 days before the Tigers evaluate a potential return. (MLB.com)

Meadows has not played in a game with the Tigers since June 15th were he began to deal with left and right Achilles strains. The injury has been frustrating for Meadows as he now begins his second rehab assignment after having to be shut down in early July. The hope is that he can return sometime in August as long as he comes out healthy after this rehab assignment.
