The Detroit Tigers have placed Jonathan Schoop on the 10-day IL with a sprained right ankle according to The Athletic’s Cody Stavenhagen. (Cody Stavenhagen on Twitter)

Schoop’s placement is retroactive to August 21 making help eligible to return once September rolls around. Schoop has not played since injuring his ankle on August 20. Kody Clemens, who entered when he was injured to play second base has been starting at third with Schoop sidelined and has shown the power to be a low-cost flier on DFS formats.
