Kyle Gibson allowed four runs on nine hits and a walk over five innings on Thursday against the Marlins. He struck out two and did not factor into the decision.
Fantasy Impact:
Gibson was coming off a start in which he let up seven runs to the Giants, but he had pitched well against the Marlins this year in several starts before this one. Gibson had just an 18% CSW rate here with six whiffs, even though his velocity was up over a mile per hour from his season average. With just a few weeks left, he's too risky to leave in your starting lineup, even in a rematch against Miami in his next outing.
