Jason Alexander struggled through 3 2/3 innings on the mound for the Brewers Sunday, allowing three runs on six hits while also walking one and striking out five in the Brewers' 12-8 loss to the Yankees.

Alexander has allowed three or more runs in each of his three September starts for the Brewers, posting an atrocious 7.24 ERA to go along with a 2.00 K/BB ratio in that span. The 29-year-old right-hander has been inconsistent on the mound for much of the season, posting a 5.40 ERA and 1.62 WHIP with 46 strikeouts in 18 appearances (11 starts) this season.
