Manager Buck Showalter explained that they are playing it safe with Nimmo's quad in a day game following a night game. He also said that Nimmo would be available late in Saturday's game if needed and should be back in the lineup Sunday. Jeff McNeil, Mark Canha, and Darin Ruf will man the outfield Saturday.
