Jake Odorizzi pitched five innings, allowing one earned run on two hits and a walk while striking out seven during Atlanta's win over Miami on Tuesday.
Odorizzi's only blemish on the night was a solo home run allowed to Jesus Sanchez in the fourth inning. He otherwise had an impressive night, generating 14 swinging strikes, seven strikeouts and an excellent 32 percent CSW on just 72 pitches. Outside of an eight-run clunker, Odorizzi has been sharp recently, allowing one run in three of his last four starts, although he only completed five innings once over that span. Odorizzi will end his season with a 6-6 record, with a 4.40 ERA and 1.33 WHIP with 86 strikeouts over 22 starts.
