Fantasy Impact
Murphy is coming off one of his best seasons where he hit .250 with 18 home runs. It may not seem overly impressive for a catcher but playing home games in Oakland isn’t ideal for a hitter. Murphy hits the ball hard and plays elite defense. He also is capable of playing everyday behind the plate which boosts his fantasy value. This should be seen as a massive upgrade for Murphy from a fantasy perspective.
