Jeff Samardzija threw his best game at a White Sox Thursday in a 2-0 victory over the Blue Jays. Samardzija went the distance, surrendering no runs, and striking out five. It was only his second win since the beginning of June.

The veteran right hander has looked better of late, but this outing was a very good sign for the White Sox. The likelyhood of the team to climb back into the playoff scene are slim to none, but another couple good starts for Samardzija, and the White Sox could get a decent return in a deadline deal.
