Lowrie announced his retirement Thursday after spending parts of 12 big-league seasons while suiting up for the Red Sox, Astros, A's, and Mets. Lowrie's best season came in 2018 when he hit a career-high 23 home runs while posting the best fWAR of his career with a mark of 5.3. He also made his lone All-Star team that season. Injuries have long dogged the 38-year-old who most recently hit .180 with three homers and a .508 OPS across 50 games with the A's in 2022.
