Logan Webb strikes out 12 in Opening Day loss to Yankees

Logan Webb (SP - SF)

Logan Webb picked up the loss after allowing four runs on four hits and two walks while striking out 12 in six innings of Thursday's 5-0 loss to the Yankees.

Fantasy Impact
Webb set a new Giants franchise record for strikeouts on Opening Day, but couldn't come out with a win against a strong Yankee lineup. The long ball was the killer for the righthander, as he gave up two homers in the hitter-friendly Yankee Stadium. Despite the loss and the not-so-appealing 6.00 ERA, Webb's strikeout stuff was elite against a good lineup, a very encouraging sign going forward. The right-hander will likely face off against the White Sox on Thursday for his next start.
