Dane Dunning grinds through Astros for a win
by Chris Schommer | Rangers Correspondent | Sat, Apr 13th 8:27am EDT
Dane Dunning earned a win despite a shaky outing, allowing three earned runs on five hits and two walks while striking out three over five innings in Friday's 12-8 victory over the Astros.
Fantasy Impact:
This performance was a mixed bag for fantasy managers, as Dunning continues to labor through outings to begin the season. The right-hander has allowed three runs in each of his first three starts on the mound , walking three or more in two of those contests for the Rangers. Fantasy managers will look for the 29-year-old to harness his command in hopes of more fruitful output on the mound as the season continues as part of a Texas rotation missing Max Scherzer, Jacob deGrom, and Michael Lorenzen for manager Bruce Bochy.
