Clayton Kershaw allowed three earned runs, six hits, walked one and struck out nine batters Thursday against the Arizona Diamondbacks. 57-of-80 pitches were thrown for strikes.

Kershaw was pulled after pitching five innings down 3-0. Fortunately, the Dodgers offense perked up and put him in line for the win. Although Kershaw was angry getting taken out so early, I think it was the smart move as Mattingly is gearing up for the playoffs. Keep this is mind as there is little reason to stress Kershaw in his last couple of starts.
