Wade Miley lasted only five innings Wednesday night against the Yankees surrendering four earned runs on nine hits and four walks. Miley also struck out three. Despite the poor showing Miley did not factor in to the decision as the Red Sox went on to win in the 11th inning.
Fantasy Impact
Although the Yankees are probably a bad match-up for Miley, this was a prime example of why its hard to trust him week in week out as a fantasy pitcher. Yes he can put up some innings with the occasional decent strikeout total, but once he starts walking guys the wheels come right off. Miley should only be on your 2016 draft lists in the deepest of formats.
