The Detroit Tigers optioned Tyler Owens to Triple-A Toledo on Saturday (Detroit Tigers PR on Twitter)

Owens has been optioned to Triple-A Toledo with Beau Brieske (ankle) activated from the IL. Owens impressed during his brief stint, tossing two scoreless innings while allowing just one hit and striking out one. He’ll likely get another opportunity when the Tigers need bullpen reinforcement.
