Chad Patrick earns second win, falls just short of scoreless outing

by Bruno Mulé | Brewers Correspondent | Wed, May 7th 2:30pm EDT

Chad Patrick (2-3) secured the win Tuesday against the Astros, going 6.2 innings and allowing three runs on just four hits and a walk. He also struck out six. Patrick came within one out of a seven-inning shutout, but Brendan Rodgers spoiled his bid with a three-run home run, ending Patrick's night. Despite this, the Brewers held on for a 4-3 victory, Patrick's first since April 6.

Fantasy Impact:

This outing marked Patrick's longest of the season. He has been a valuable fill-in for the Brewers' injured rotation. Currently slated for a start next week in Cleveland, he could be bumped up to pitch Sunday in Tampa Bay, depending on Freddy Peralta's (groin) status.
