Nick Pivetta allowed five earned runs on five hits and three walks while striking out three over six innings in Friday's loss to the Red Sox.

After today’s outing, Pivetta holds a 2.94 ERA and 0.96 WHIP with an 11-4 record across 23 starts this season. Pivetta has been excellent for the Padres this season but he just didn't have it on Friday. He will look to regroup ahead of his next start.
