Bob Seymour designated for assignment by Rays

The Tampa Bay Rays designated first baseman Bob Seymour for assignment on Thursday. The move exposes him to waivers after he saw extended big-league action to close the regular season. In his MLB debut, Seymour slashed .205/.253/.282 with a 38.6 percent strikeout rate across 83 plate appearances. (Rays Communications)
Fantasy Impact:
Seymour's disappointing MLB debut came after he launched 30 home runs at Triple-A Durham prior to his call-up. If he goes unclaimed on waivers, he could remain with the Rays organization.
