Zak Kent designated for assignment by Cardinals

Zak Kent has been designated for assignment by the St. Louis Cardinals. The move was made to make room for newly-acquired Justin Bruihl on the 40-man roster. (MLB Trade Rumors)
Fantasy Impact:
Kent, who was acquired off of waivers from Cleveland last month, turns 28 next month. The right-hander saw his first taste of big league action with the Guardians last season and went 1-0 with a 4.58 ERA in 12 games. Kent, who was drafted in the ninth round by Texas in 2019, has pitched in 117 career games in the minors and has a 4.13 ERA with 369 strikeouts in 322.1 innings.
