Nick Pivetta has been named the Opening Day starting pitcher for the San Diego Padres this club announced. (San Diego Padres on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Pivetta will take on the Detroit Tigers at home who will counter with reigning back-to-back AL Cy Young award winner Tarik Skubal. The right-hander will look to a return to his 2025 form after an unimpressive spring, posting a 2.08 WHIP and 8.25 ERA in four spring appearances (1-1 eight strikeouts) for the Padres.
