Aroldis Chapman won't be banned from Spring Training

Aroldis Chapman (RP - PIT)

Despite reports noting MLB's ability to suspend Yankees RP Aroldis Chapman from participating in Spring Training, a source told the LA Times that this will not happen. The expectation is that any suspension would be limited to regular season games. (Los Angeles Times)

Fantasy Impact
This is not much of a surprise. While MLB technically has the power to ban someone involve in a domestic abuse situation, such as the one Chapman finds himself in, through Spring Training, it would be a new step when it comes to suspensions. Those players that have been suspended for performance-enhancing drug use have been allowed to participate in Spring Training. This doesn't mean Chapman is out of the woods, as he still faces a ban from regular season action due to his alleged misconduct.
