Niese has disappointed in two Spring Training starts, but there is no reason for concern yet. There is some optimism surrounding Niese heading into the season due to his ability to induce ground balls in combination with the Pirates defense. He does not generate a lot of strikeouts however, which limits his fantasy value to deeper leagues or NL-only formats.
