No big surprise here, as Gardner told reporters on Monday that he would be out of the lineup versus Dallas Keuchel. Keuchel is incredibly tough on lefties, holding them to a .177 batting average and .201 on-base percentage last year, and Hicks has had success against him in limited at bats. Gardner should be back in the lineup on Wednesday.
