Jason Kipnis sparked into action last year when he was moved to the leadoff spot. He slashed .311/.385/.476 at the top of the order, but with Michael Brantley absent on the DL, Kipnis will see more at-bats in the two or three hole. The 29-year-old hit .250 vs LHP last season, so it was always likely to be difficult today against David Price. Expect him to find it easier in Wednesday's game with Clay Buchholz on the mound.
