Pablo Sandoval (shoulder) will not get regular playing time unless he loses weight and others currently in Boston's lineup struggle, according to major league sources, Yahoo! Sports reports. The third basemen, who is still owed more than $75 million for four years, lost his starting job to Travis Shaw this spring and has seen scant duty in the first eight games. (Yahoo! Sports)

If Sandoval's playing time is going to be based on him losing weight it does not bode well for the Red Sox 3B. Sandoval has been overweight most of his career and he does not look like he is about to get in shape. He is on the DL right now but when he gets off of it expect him to find a seat on the bench. If you own him in fantasy it is probably time to find a new third baseman.
