Alex Gordon hit his first home run of the season on Wednesday in his 2-for-4 effort against the Tigers. He scored a run, drove in another and also struck out.

Gordon has shown improvement of late after his extremely slow start. Hopefully he and the hitters around him will start heating up at the plate, as the Royals are off to a slower start offensively overall.
