The Rays placed Logan Morrison on the 15-day disabled list with a right forearm strain.

Morrison was able to return to the lineup on Wednesday against the Dodgers, but was ultimately not able to fully recover from his forearm tendinitis that cost him nearly a week of action. It's not an overly serious injury, so he should return close to when he's eligible to be activated. The Rays also sent Oswaldo Arcia to the disabled list, and have called up Nick Franklin and Brad Boxberger in a corresponding move.
