Gio Gonzalez allowed four runs over five innings on Wednesday against the Indians. He gave up seven hits and one walk while striking out five. Despite the rough outing, Gonzalez was credited with the win, and improved his record to 8-9.

This was Gonzalez's worst outing since June, so it was nice that the Nationals bailed him out with a lot of run support. Gonzalez has now won four of his last five decisions, and will look to keep his momentum going in hitter-friendly Coors Field in his next start against the Rockies.
