Carlos Gomez went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run and one strikeout in the Rangers 9-0 victory over the Indians on Thursday.

Gomez started in left field and batted eighth in his first game with the Rangers. It had been a brutal 2016 for Gomez with the Astros, as he batted .210 with five home runs, 29 RBI, 27 runs scored and 100 strikeouts in 295 At-bats. It's early, but he could be an intriguing option the rest of the way if he can figure it all out with the Rangers. He's worth keeping an eye on but at this point shouldn't be added or started with confidence.
