Montero came up as a pinch hitter in the bottom of the eighth inning with the bases loaded and the game tied at 3-3. He connected with a slider and the ball went into the stands for a grand slam. It was only the third time in post-season history that a player hit a pinch-hit grand slam.
Fantasy Impact
Montero has seen his playing time reduced this season and he also has struggled mightily at the plate but this was a heck of a time to get the ball onto the bat with power.
