	Casey Mize exited Sunday’s contest between the Detroit Tigers and Los Angeles Angels due to groin tightness and an apparent wrist injury according to Chris McCosky. Chris Schommer Sun, Jul 19th	McKenzie carries a 5.46 ERA across 24 big-league appearances (20 starts) since 2023 into Padres camp as a non-roster invitee, but his arm has shown something new this spring. He gained weight over the offseason and pitched in winter ball for the first time, and his four-seamer is averaging 95.7 mph — up two full mph from last season. McKenzie has never touched 97 mph in a major-league game, but he topped that mark 10 times in his most recent Cactus League outing and peaked at 98.8 mph.
