Left foot joint arthritis and sciatica will keep LeBron James out of action for Friday's game against the Celtics. The Lakers have ruled the superstar out for the second leg of their back-to-back set, as reported by Dan Woike of The Athletic.

Karl-Anthony Towns filled the stat sheet for the Knicks Friday night, dishing out four assists, recording one steal, grabbing nine rebounds, and scoring 18 points (5-11 FG, 4-6 3PT, 4-4 FT) in a 146-112 win over the Jazz.

Fresh off snapping a historic 1,297-game streak of scoring in double figures, LeBron James appears set to miss the second leg of a back-to-back set. Daniel Starkand of LakersNation.com reports that the superstar is listed as doubtful for the matchup against Boston due to left foot joint arthritis and a right sciatica injury.

Facing an overmatched Charlotte frontcourt on the second leg of a back-to-back, Karl-Anthony Towns feasted to the tune of 35 points (13-of-23 FG, 6-of-7 FT) and a season-high-tying 18 rebounds during Wednesday's victory. The dominant outing followed a 29-point performance against the Celtics the night prior, and he rounded out his line with five assists, two steals, and three three-pointers.

A historic run of offensive consistency came to an end on Thursday, as LeBron James finished with just eight points on 4-of-17 shooting in the Lakers' win over the Raptors. This marked the first time since 2007—spanning 1,297 consecutive games—that the superstar failed to reach double-digit points. Despite the shooting woes, he impacted the game as a facilitator, dishing out 11 assists and six rebounds while setting up the game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer.

Notes
Towns' numbers are almost identical year-over-year, with small dips in points and rebounds but the same shooting efficiency. He's still a rare big who won't hurt you at the line and can stretch the floor with threes. That makes him a safe early-round anchor, even if the upside isn't what it once was.
Kelly Kirby - FantasyPros
LeBron remains remarkably productive at age 40, but his year-over-year outlook shows slight slippage. Scoring (1,710 to 1,807) and efficiency (FG% .513 to .519) hold, but assists (575 to 571) and rebounds (546 to 555) plateau, while his minutes per game remain managed. He's still a top-40 asset, but modest declines and rest risk push him into "faller" territory relative to ADP expectations.
