Fantasy Impact
In his third season, Elfrid Payton had his strongest season to date. He finished up averaging 12.8 points, 6.5 assists, and 4.7 rebounds per game on 47.1 percent shooting from the field. All are career-highs for Payton. Although Payton is clearly a player on the rise, the Magic shouldn't hesitate to take a Markelle Fultz, Lonzo Ball, or even Dennis Smith in the draft if the opportunity presents itself. Payton has not shown that he is capable of being a frontline starter on a contending team, which is disappointing given that he was drafted 10th overall three seasons ago.
