Michael Kidd-Gilchrist will not play Wednesday versus Celtics

by Nick Swantek | Wed, Feb 28th 6:42pm EST

After being listed as questionable earlier in the day, the Hornets went ahead and ruled Michael-Kidd Gilchrist out with left hamstring soreness. The small forward is usually a starter for the squad, and with his absence, Treveon Graham will slot in to make his second start of the season. (Charlotte Hornets PR on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Due to the fact that it is only soreness, and that he was questionable to play, MKG will probably be back sooner rather than later. On the other hand, Graham will get to make a spot start. Over the last five games in which Graham has played at least 20 minutes, he's averaged 9.8 points and 2.6 rebounds. You may be tempted to spot start Graham in DFS, but all he really provides you with is a semi-safe floor, while the ceiling is virtually non-existent. There are better options for Wednesday night.
